Blackbird – Costume Design

Here is my latest theatre show.  What an amazing project to be part of.  This production is first class all the way – if I do say so myself!

Robin Larsen is at the helm of this show bringing her impeccable eye for detail and her courageous no-holds barred approach to “difficult” and socially taboo topics to the piece.

The cast is superb and deeply talented.  Sam Anderson and Corryn Cummins will have your moralistic views doing backflips while breaking your heart. What a dream they were to dress.

Rogue Machine once again proves itself to be one of the most compelling companies in Los Angeles.

“…Jocelyn Hublau Parker’s costumes suit each character to a T….Even amidst the darkness and despair, it is a theatergoing treat to savor the superb work being done by Anderson and Cummins—literally within touching distance. Blackbird gives playgoers one more reason to sample the many treasures of Los Angeles theater…. StageScenLA.com

“…But don’t expect the earnest, tear-stained examination of a TV movie. The situation here, potently brought to life at Rogue Machine, is treated as something of a love story — a pernicious, exploitative romance that refuses to release victim and perpetrator from its hellish grip…”  L.A. Times

“Blackbird provides more proof that Rogue Machine is one of our most intelligent and vibrant theater companies.” Stage and Cinema
